Realco, a Belgian company based in the Louvain-la-Neuve Science Park, is a world leader in the development, production and marketing of enzyme-based hygiene solutions and processes. It produces and markets its products to different types of customers such as retailers, local communities, hospitals and distributors of cleaning products.

Challenge
The company has used Odoo software (formerly Openerp) for more than 6 years to manage its billing, distribution and accounting processes.
The standard system has undergone major specific developments as the business has evolved. Today the management of the system is no longer operational and the version of Odoo is not support anymore.
Solution
To get the best of the new version of Odoo, it was decided to start a new installation and review the way of working of Realco to better adapt to the new version. Data will be transferred from one system to another via import and export modules. Some historical data such as customer and supplier invoices will be migrated to compare sales and purchase statistics on several periods.
Results
Realco is now using a new version of the Odoo program. The data transfer module was able to work optimally so that Realco could continue to work with system updates and migrations. The entire management system has been restructured for more modern and efficient use.
