Aquaria Antwerpen has an enormous stock (80.000-100.000 pieces) of cold water fish, fresh water tropical fish, cichlids, aquatic plants, dry food, frozen products, live food, gravel, stones, forests, aquaria, filters and all related items.
Aquaria Antwerpen was looking for a partner who could support them in the hosting and support of an application for purchases, stock, E-Commerce and the checkout system. With more than 1200 aquariums and +/- 100.000 products (fish, plants, ...) a robust system is necessary with an availability from Monday-Saturday from 9h to 19.
The solution was implemented on the basis of the community edition of Odoo and consists of both the stock with more than 1.200 aquariums and +/- 100.000 products (fish, plants, ...), purchase, sale and the checkout system. New functionalities are added on a regular basis in order to be able to respond to the ever changing customer needs.
The use of Odoo makes it possible for Aquaria to close the cash register every evening, after which the results are immediately booked in the accounts. Specific functionalities for quarantining sick fish have been added. The system ensures that Aquaria is aware of their healthy stock of plants and fish at all times. Aquaria also knows immediately when fish become available for sale after the quarantine period.
